With a changing Industry and a vastly changing world and culture; what is the future for the Purebred horses and the survival of the PRIVATE BREEDER? We have discussed this on an international level. What you want to know, don't want to know and wish you had known. We will dive in deep to the questions.
Are Evaluations political? Yes, maybe, no. It depends on the judge, the breed, the relationships just like any other industry In the world. So public gatherings were developed to eliminate this or at least keep it to a minimum.
It was a an enourmous fanfare, an outing that any and all planned for every year. Attendences were full and the air was filled with excitement. Champagne flowed, tables were set up with ornate candelabras and exquisite linens, foods and roasted whole pigs, cheese platters, wine fountains, deserts and fine china. Picked fresh were the grapes and olives from the local vines. The tables were ordained with flowers and fresh olive leaves. Gorgeous steeds snorting with energy, steam coming out their nostrils, prancing high in front of the Handsome Carriages. Swinging tails and lit lanterns with brass and polished silver glistening as the sun rose to the to meet a cerulean blue sky. Any and all were is in the public eye. There was a rush of excitement such as a child at the carnival staring at that gigantic wand of cotton candy. The innocence of excitement was irresistible. The event of the year was almost upon us! Beautiful women had gowns made of at the finest linens and silks from far away lands. Planning of what they will adorn themselves of and their children a year in advance. The finest tailors works, the finest stitchery were all on display for all to see. They day is upon us. Hooray!!
Where has the energy gone?
The attendance is small to none now. The people do not look to go every year. The energy and excitement had dwindled. They Skys are gray.
Now, the breeders are questioning what comes next.
